THIS WEEKEND IN GULF COUNTY
SEE ALL THAT THE ARTS HAVE TO OFFER AT
"A TASTE OF THE COAST" AN ARTFUL AFFAIR
Get your tickets while they are still available for the event of the season for great food and fantastic art. Tickets are also still available for the Gulf County Scholarship Committee's drawing for a golf cart, laptop computer and flat screen TV for $50. Help support the arts in our area, the Gulf County "Independence on the Coast" celebration, and, most of all, the students of our wonderful community.
This two-day event, Friday and Saturday April 28-29, in Centennial Park will include a Preview Party on Friday from 7 - 9 p.m. ET. Saturday's events will begin with a "Taste of the Coast Gallery" from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. ET and will allow artists to showcase and sell their work. Admission is free. The main event, this year with a tropical theme, will begin at 6 p.m. ET at the Centennial Building with a Restaurant Tasting until 8 p.m. This is the perfect opportunity to experience the best culinary delights the area has to offer. ALSO IN THE PARK
In conjunction with A Taste of the Coast, the Friends of St. Joseph State Parks present Florida folk singer and storyteller Bob Patterson at the Constitution Convention Museum on Saturday, April 29, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. This event is free to the public and includes admission to the museum throughout the day. There will be hourly tours and interactions with historic figures portrayed by experts throughout the afternoon.
